Why Is LeafGuard Better?

Rust-Resistant

The LeafGuard gutter guard system uses aluminum, so it won’t rust, and the metal itself is 20% thicker than the industry standard for gutters.

20 Year Finish

LeafGuard gutter sports a baked enamel paint finish, which is guaranteed not to chip, peel or crack for 20 years.

Clog-Free Guaranteed

The Englert LeafGuard® gutter guard system is guaranteed not to clog with pine needles, leaves, or other organic debris as long as you own your home. If it does, we’ll have them cleaned free of charge.
Put LeafGuard next to any other seamless gutter system, and you will see that LeafGuard is the best gutter system you can buy. LeafGuard is a unique and patented gutter system that combines a large gutter bottom with a curved hood to block debris and keep water moving away from your home. There have been attempts to recreate the same system, but none of them can compare!

LeafGuard is Better Than Ordinary Gutter Systems

Ordinary gutter systems are basically open troughs that collect rainwater that runs off your roof and leads the water toward downspouts and into the ground, but they come with just a few problems.
Since their tops are open debris can clog your gutters and downspouts causing them to back up, overflow and ultimately ruining the gutters themselves, along with potentially causing water damage to your home.
Many are hung with unsupported nails that can sag and pull away from your home due to the weight of water, ice, leaves and other debris. The heads of the metal nails are exposed to the elements and can rust causing unsightly stains to your gutters and home.

LeafGuard is Better Than Two Piece Systems

Most two-piece systems consist of an ordinary open gutter with a gutter cover, gutter guard, or gutter screen installed above or on top it, attached either to the gutter itself or to the roof of your home. This means that it is not fully seamless which could cause leaks to occur.
Since the gutter and gutter guard or gutter cover, are separate, this could make the fascia and soffits of your home vulnerable to water damage.
If you install a gutter guard or gutter cover under the shingles of your roof, debris that did not slide over the guard or cover, can become trapped, causing build-up and clogs, which can cause more damage.

LeafGuard is Better Than Gutter Guards

Gutter guards or gutter covers are secondary gutter parts that are installed above existing or new open gutter systems. They are attached to the roof, positioned above the gutter and “cover” it to keep debris out.
These covers are attached either over shingles or under them by piercing your roof decking and roof felt. In most cases doing this invalidates your roof warranties since putting holes in your roof can lead to leaks and other costly water damage.
Many covers are not seamless and come in only 3 ft. or 6 ft. lengths. This means they are subject to sagging and leaks at the joined areas.

LeafGuard is Better Than Gutter Screens

Gutter screens are normally aluminum or wire mesh screens installed over the top of an open gutter system and are attached using clips that have no strength, and can break easily. The clips can also easily be blown off by wind or knocked off by pests.
Attaching gutter screens to the tops of existing or new open gutter systems is intended to keep leaves and other debris from collecting inside them. The fact is that debris can collect on top of these screens and smaller debris can simply fall through it.
These screens are often an inexpensive way of keeping debris out of your open gutters, but they can be very difficult to install and have some pretty big flaws.
